Jamie Safir - Life on the Road with Will Young and Kylie Minogue

Pianist, Keyboardist, Songwriter and Producer Jamie Safir has worked with some of the finest names in popular music including Will Young, Kylie Minogue, Birdy, Mica Paris, Olly Murs and The Brand New Heavies.

As a prominent member of the UK Jazz Scene Jamie plays with Ian Shaw, Claire Martin, Liane Carroll, Emma Smith and Iain Ballamy.

In this conversation, Jamie talks about his early days, growing up in Manchester and then moving to London. He talks about life on the road in Will Young’s band, his love for Nord Keyboards and talks us through how he put together his solo show ‘Piano Talk’, which offers a glimpse into the glamorous and not-so-glamorous life of a piano player.
